Morgan Walker (pictured UPPER/LEFT): Owner and Designer

Morgan has a true passion for her work and has a trained eye for designing, harmonizing and creating textures in her gardens and floral pieces designed for weddings and corporate events. Her knowledge in horticulture is extensive and she continues her research, providing new and exciting points of interest to offer her clients whom trust her knowledge and expertise. 

She appreciates the environment and likes to help in any way she can, in teaching young children and adults the importance of learning about the plant world. Morgan has donated countless hours to the Newton Marasco Foundation and local schools in Loudoun County by providing plants for their outdoor classrooms and has worked side-by-side with the students, teaching them planting techniques and plant ID.

Morgan grew up working in greenhouses and in many historic gardens throughout Loudoun County and believes it is necessary to pass on her knowledge to younger generations and adults, to educate them about the career opportunities in the industry. Her nursery, Petals & Hedges, in Paeonian Springs, VA specializes in high-end gardening products and unusual plant material. She offers classes in the nursery year round involving: gardening tips, floral design, garden design, and brings in speakers who share on their expertise in the gardening and floral world.

Morgan Walker created the company M Wilder LLC in 2005 after co-owning Gardens of Delight Nursery with her mother that was started in 2001. She changed the name to Petals & Hedges in 2011 to incorporate the many services the company now offers.
